On the news front, Ascletis Pharma announced that key preclinical data for its weight-loss combination formulation ASC36_35FDC were presented in a short oral discussion at the 62nd Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD). In a diet-induced obesity (DIO) rat model, the combination achieved relative weight-loss improvements of 98% and 47%, respectively, compared with the two comparator combinations eloralintide/tirzepatide and MET-233i/tirzepatide, and demonstrated ultra-long-acting characteristics supporting once-monthly or even once-quarterly dosing. Public information shows that ASC36_35FDC is a combination therapy independently developed using Ascletis' proprietary structure-based AI-assisted drug discovery and ultra-long-acting drug development platform technology. It is positioned as "a potential best-in-class therapeutic candidate."
