BHCC HOLDING (01552) announces that on 1 October 2026, BHCC Project 2, an indirectly wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, together with other bidders, jointly submitted a bid to the tenderer for the lease of the land for residential development as an Executive Condominium in Singapore. Pursuant to the conditions of the tender, the bidders have paid the tenderer a tender deposit of not less than 5% of the tender price (including the BHCC Deposit of approximately S$3.7 million). If the tender is accepted, the tender deposit will be applied towards payment of part of the tender price; if the tender is not accepted, the tender deposit will be returned to the bidders on or before the date of expiry of the tender validity period, being sixteen weeks from the date of submission of the tender, or any extended period as agreed in writing between the tenderer and the bidders.
The Group entered into the property development business in early 2024 through the acquisition of a 45% equity interest in Tai Seng Food Point. Tai Seng Food Point is currently an indirectly non-wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company and the sole owner of an industrial property in Singapore, which is currently undergoing reconstruction for strata sale. Since the above acquisition, the Group has been actively participating in various tenders for different land uses in Singapore with other market participants. The Group has also entered into joint venture agreements with other market participants to form joint ventures to lease and develop a residential land parcel in Singapore, details of which are set out in the Company's announcement published in January 2025. In order to expand the Group's property development segment, the Group has been actively identifying public tenders and/or joint venture projects for land development for different uses, including residential, industrial and commercial projects, so as to further expand and diversify its development property portfolio. The Group believes that the land presents an opportunity to participate in the development and sale of an Executive Condominium project at Canberra Drive, Singapore. The land parcel is located in the mature residential community of Sembawang, in close proximity to various amenities with convenient transportation. Future residents can enjoy the convenience of being near Canberra Plaza, Sembawang Shopping Centre and Bukit Canberra; Bukit Canberra is an integrated community centre with sports, healthcare and dining facilities. Nearby schools include Sembawang Primary School and Wellington Primary School, providing further convenience for families with school-age children. The land is also within walking distance of Canberra MRT Station, which is on the North-South Line and connects to other parts of Singapore. The Company is optimistic that, if the tender is successfully awarded, the acquisition of the land will enable the Company to strengthen its property development segment and diversify its property development portfolio.
