Ningxia Younglight Chemicals (000635.SZ): Partial facilities temporarily shut down

Ningxia Younglight Chemicals (000635.SZ) announced that, in accordance with maintenance arrangements, the company shut down the production lines of the Chlor-Alkali Operations Department, some calcium carbide facilities of the Calcium Carbide Operations Department, and the No. 2 thermal power unit of its captive power plant for maintenance on July 20, 2026. As of now, all maintenance tasks have been completed. In view of the market price of its main product polyvinyl chloride falling short of expectations, and based on a comprehensive assessment of objective factors including the performance of the company's facilities and polyvinyl chloride production costs, the company plans to implement a temporary production halt on the production lines of the Chlor-Alkali Operations Department, with some calcium carbide facilities of the Calcium Carbide Operations Department and the No. 2 thermal power unit of its captive power plant temporarily shut down in tandem. This temporary production halt applies only to the production lines of the Chlor-Alkali Operations Department and some supporting facilities, while other facilities remain in normal operation and production and business activities continue. This temporary shutdown of some facilities will reduce the company's output of polyvinyl chloride, caustic soda, calcium carbide, and other products, and lower the company's operating revenue.
