SYNTRUST GK (08629) announced that on September 15, 2026, the Company entered into an investment agreement with the Xinyi City Investment Promotion Bureau in respect of the project, pursuant to which the Company agreed to invest a total of RMB60 million in the project, including fixed asset investment of not less than RMB50 million; and the Xinyi City Investment Promotion Bureau agreed to assist the Company in implementing the project, including (among other things) completing the land grant procedures relating to the project land, and obtaining the relevant project approvals, registrations and licences.
Pursuant to the investment agreement, the Company will undertake the project, which primarily involves the establishment and operation of an inspection and testing center in Xinyi City, Guangdong Province, the PRC, principally engaged in testing business relating to building fire safety materials and other related areas.
The Group intends to build a new inspection and testing center principally engaged in testing business relating to building fire safety materials and other related areas. This business scope represents a new service area for the Group and an extension of the Group's principal business. In recent years, with the continuous improvement of national and local fire safety regulatory regimes, the mandatory requirements for building fire safety testing have become increasingly stringent, and the qualification requirements for testing institutions have also been continuously tightened, significantly enhancing the overall standardization level of the industry. Against this backdrop, the number of building fire safety testing institutions with relevant qualifications in the western Guangdong region remains limited, resulting in the supply of testing services being insufficient to fully meet regional demand. The Directors believe that this project will help the Group strategically expand into this business area, establish a differentiated market positioning, and bring new sources of revenue growth to the Group.
In addition, the relevant testing services require the use of large-scale professional equipment and dedicated testing facilities. The Group's existing premises are unable to meet the requirements of such equipment and business operations in terms of spatial layout, floor load-bearing capacity and ancillary facilities. Therefore, the Group considers it necessary to build a dedicated inspection and testing center.
