China Software International (00354) announced that it has recently won the bid for the Guangdong Provincial Industrial Robot and Smart Home Application Empowerment Center Pan-Home Open Source Harmony Artificial Intelligence Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as the project), with a bid amount of approximately 35.5 million RMB.
CHINASOFT INT'L (00354) announced that the company has recently won the bid for the Guangdong Province Industrial Siasun Robot & Automation and Smart Home Application Empowerment Center Pan-Household Open Source Harmony Artificial Intelligence Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as the project), with a bid amount of approximately RMB 35.5 million. This project is an important strategic measure of the group to actively respond to the national "Implementation Opinions on the Special Action of 'Artificial Intelligence + Manufacturing'" (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Lian Ke [2025] No. 279) and to further promote the integration and application of artificial intelligence technology with the manufacturing industry. It also marks a new milestone in the continued implementation of the group's "one body, two wings" strategy.
The group is leveraging the complete chain adaptation and ecological co-construction experiential expertise accumulated at the Xi'an Open Source Harmony Technology Adaptation (Certification) and Product Development Center, replicating and outputting it to Foshan. This move is key to deeply cultivating the Foshan pan-household industry cluster and accelerating the layout of end-side intelligence and spatial intelligence businesses.
The Xi'an Open Source Harmony Technology Adaptation (Certification) and Product Development Center has implemented a complete model of "technology adaptation testing and certification scene landing industry aggregation" and has completed a large number of open-source Harmony adaptations and XTS compatibility certifications for terminal devices targeting city B-end governance scenarios with its innovation joint mechanism of "calling for winners." This has accumulated engineering capabilities in hardware adaptation, industry intelligent bodies, and end-edge-cloud collaboration, forming a mature ecological construction methodology for government-enterprise research and usage collaboration. The Foshan project aims to extend the verified and mature technical foundation, adaptation certification system, and ecological organizational model of the adaptation center in the B-end urban IoT field to the consumer manufacturing and smart home sector, achieving the migration of B-end capabilities to C-end consumer hardware scenarios and creating a new model of the open-source Harmony industry for the group based on "B-end and C-end two-way linkage."
This project focuses on the intelligent upgrade of Foshan's pan-household products and will build three major foundational platforms to form a complete artificial intelligence technology and service capability system to empower smart products:
(1) Building a big data platform to solidify the artificial intelligence data foundation for the pan-household industry.
A unified big data platform will be constructed around the massive product data, user behavior data, and production manufacturing data of Foshan's pan-household industry to achieve the aggregation, governance, and sharing of multi-source data, providing high-quality data element support for artificial intelligence model training, industry intelligent body R&D, and product intelligent upgrading, thereby laying a strong data foundation for artificial intelligence innovation in the pan-household industry.
(2) Building a comprehensive intelligent interconnection platform to establish an artificial intelligence technology architecture for end-edge-cloud collaboration.
Relying on the open-source Harmony operating system, a comprehensive intelligent interconnection platform covering device endpoints, edge, and cloud will be built to realize interconnectivity and coordinated control of pan-household products. This platform will support core artificial intelligence capabilities, such as lightweight deployment of smart hardware models, operational orchestration of industry intelligent bodies, and operation framework of intelligent body harness, forming a complete intelligent technology stack that collaborates from perception to decision-making to execution.
(3) Building a smart empowerment platform to deliver AI-driven product intelligence solutions.
In response to the intelligent upgrading needs of Foshan's pan-household enterprises, a smart empowerment platform will be constructed to provide one-stop empowerment services for artificial intelligence hardware and software development, technology adaptation, and product intelligent R&D. This platform will rely on the foundational capabilities of the big data platform and comprehensive intelligent interconnection platform to help enterprises quickly complete intelligent transformation and upgrades of products, promoting the large-scale implementation and commercialization of artificial intelligence technology in the pan-household industry.
The Foshan pan-household industry cluster exceeds RMB 1 trillion in scale, encompassing core categories such as furniture, home appliances, ceramics, lighting, and hardware. It is one of the largest and most complete home industry clusters globally, providing broad application scenarios and a solid industrial foundation for the deep integration of artificial intelligence technology with manufacturing. This project, using the provincial empowerment center as a carrier, allows the group to deeply embed itself into the intelligent upgrading process of this trillion-yuan industry, upgrading from a "technology service provider" to an "industry empowerment platform operator." At the technical level, the project adopts an end-edge-cloud collaborative architecture with smart hardware models, industry intelligent bodies, and intelligent body harness operation framework as core technology directions. This aligns with the current mainstream technological route of artificial intelligence evolving from cloud to edge and from single models to intelligent body collaboration. This successful bid marks the extension of the group's artificial intelligence technical capabilities from enterprise-level software scenarios to IoT and spatial intelligence scenarios, further perfecting the group's "computing power-model-intelligent body" integrated technological closed loop, and laying a crucial foundation for the group to enter the global smart home industry track.
In the future, the group will use this project as a fulcrum to continuously deepen the integration and application of artificial intelligence technology with the pan-household manufacturing industry, actively expanding business directions in smart hardware model R&D, industry intelligent body deployment, and end-edge-cloud integrated solutions. It will also rely on the empowerment center platform to productize and standardize the intelligent empowerment capabilities verified in the Foshan pan-household industry, gradually replicating and promoting them to other manufacturing clusters across the country and global home markets.
