The Agricultural Bank of China plans to raise no more than 160 billion yuan to replenish its capital.
On September 6, the Agricultural Bank of China announced a plan to issue A-shares to specific entities on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. The proposed issuances are aimed at the Ministry of Finance of the People's Republic of China, China National Tobacco Corporation, and its relevant subsidiaries, with a total fundraising amount not exceeding 160 billion RMB. After deducting related issuance costs, all funds will be used to supplement core tier one capital, with the final fundraising scale subject to the approval of the issuance plan by regulatory authorities.
