Following yesterday's surge of nearly 16% in stock price, Dell Technologies, Inc. Class C (DELL.US) rose more than 4% on Thursday, reaching $515.20, a record high. The financial report revealed that in the second quarter of the fiscal year 2027 ending July 31, Dell Technologies, Inc. Class C achieved a revenue of $46.97 billion, a year-on-year increase of 58%, surpassing the analysts' average expectation of $44.92 billion. The net profit for the quarter was $4.13 billion, equivalent to $6.34 per share, more than doubling from $1.16 billion, or $1.70 per share, in the same period last year. The adjusted earnings per share (excluding stock-based compensation expenses) were $7.04, significantly higher than the analysts' expectation of $4.92.
Looking ahead, Dell Technologies, Inc. Class C provided a strong guidance for the third fiscal quarter: an expected adjusted earnings per share of $6.50 and revenue of $49 billion, indicating a year-on-year revenue growth of about 81%. Analysts had previously estimated an adjusted earnings per share of $4.49 and revenue of $41.42 billion for the third quarter.
