On August 31, the Hong Kong dollar interbank rates showed mixed developments, with the one-month HIBOR related to mortgages remaining unchanged at 2.85000%. The three-month HIBOR, reflecting banks' funding costs, increased by 1.089 basis points to 3.01964%. The overnight rate was 4.09857%, up by 67.393 basis points; the one-week HIBOR decreased by 0.172 basis points to 3.23024%, while the two-week rate fell by 1.297 basis points to 2.91899%. The two-month HIBOR was reported at 2.95071%, rising by 0.803 basis points. In terms of long-term rates, the six-month HIBOR rose by 2.161 basis points to 3.22679%, and the one-year rate increased by 0.904 basis points to 3.51470%.
