Hong Kong Property: Over 20 million Hong Kong dollars in second-hand residential transactions recorded 1,314 deals in the first seven months of Hong Kong, setting a new high for the same period in five years.

In the segment of over 20 million Hong Kong dollars, 1,314 second-hand residential properties were registered, marking an increase of approximately 81% compared to 726 registrations during the same period last year. The year-on-year increase significantly outperformed the market, reaching a five-year high for the same period.
Wang Pindi, Director of the Research Department at Hong Kong Property, stated that according to the comprehensive data from the Land Registry compiled by the Hong Kong Property Research Department, there were 35,471 registrations of second-hand residential properties (including second-hand private residential and second-hand public housing) in the first seven months of this year, an increase of approximately 38.5% compared to 25,615 registrations during the same period last year. Among these, there were 1,314 registrations of second-hand residential properties over 20 million HKD, a significant increase of approximately 81% compared to 726 registrations from the same period last year, clearly outperforming the market and reaching a new high for the same period in five years. When dividing the registrations of second-hand residential properties over 20 million HKD in the first seven months of this year by the three districts, the New Territories recorded 127 registrations, an increase of approximately 39.6% from 91 registrations in the same period last year; Hong Kong Island (including Discovery Bay) recorded 690 registrations, an increase of approximately 85.5% from 372 registrations last year; Kowloon (including Tseung Kwan O and Sai Kung) recorded 497 registrations of second-hand residential properties over 20 million HKD, a substantial increase of approximately 89% from 263 registrations during the same period last year. As for the ranking of the estates by the number of registrations of second-hand residential properties over 20 million HKD in the first seven months of this year, The Peak recorded 49 registrations, ranking first, an increase of approximately 28.9% from 38 registrations in the same period last year; Baocui Garden ranked second with 34 registrations, a remarkable increase of more than 1.8 times from 12 registrations last year; and The Harbourside ranked third with 33 registrations of second-hand residential properties over 20 million HKD, also a significant increase of more than 3.1 times from 8 registrations during the same period last year.
