The expanded collaboration provides a clearer commercialization path for the company's co-constructed fleet model. This model integrates the three core capabilities required for the large-scale operation of autonomous taxi services: Level 4 autonomous driving technology, a leading mobility platform, and daily fleet operations. It enables technology, platform, and fleet partners to cooperate in the same market, with all parties taking on multiple roles. Depending on market conditions, the funding and ownership of vehicles can be borne by different partners.
Under the expanded cooperation, the company will provide Level 4 autonomous driving technology, passenger experience, and operational expertise accumulated from its various large-scale autonomous taxi deployment projects in China. Uber will offer access to customers through its leading global mobility platform, including booking, payment, and customer service capabilities, combined with its expanding network of human drivers to provide related services. Daily fleet operations can be managed by selected mature local fleet partners for each market.
It is reported that the cooperation between the company and Uber dates back to May 2025, when both parties first announced plans to introduce the companys autonomous taxis on Uber's platform in international markets. In 2026, both sides collaborated with the Croatian mobility company Verne to launch Europes first commercial autonomous taxi service in Zagreb, with Verne acting as the local fleet owner and operator. The company believes that the expanded cooperation with Uber marks a further evolution of its development strategy, complementing the regional scale of fleet deployment with a continued push into new markets.
