LIU CHONG HING (00194) announced its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2026, reporting a revenue of HKD 442 million, a year-on-year decrease of 19.92%; a loss attributable to shareholders of HKD 269 million, compared to a profit of HKD 16.6 million in the same period last year; and a basic loss per share of HKD 0.71. A mid-term cash dividend of HKD 0.11 per share is proposed. The changes are mainly attributed to fair value losses on investment properties, which are unrealized and non-cash in nature, as well as the China land value-added tax assessed by the Chinese tax authorities on the Foshan residential project. This tax is a one-time payment for sold residential units, and it is expected that there will be no further liabilities for these units. The management will continue to carefully control costs, closely monitor market conditions, and review the group's asset portfolio and business strategy to sustain long-term value.
