On Wednesday, the storage sector opened with a broad increase.
On Wednesday, the storage sector opened with a general rise, with SanDisk (SNDK.US), SK Hynix (SKHY.US), and Seagate Technology Holdings PLC (STX.US) all rising over 7%, Micron Technology, Inc. (MU.US) increasing by over 6%, and Western Digital Corporation (WDC.US) climbing over 5%. Additionally, today the stock prices of South Korea's "storage giants" surged. On one hand, investor risk appetite has warmed after last month's sharp decline in chip stocks; on the other hand, investors are weighing a report that Singapore's state investment company Temasek plans to invest in Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix. According to reports, Temasek plans to directly invest in these two chip manufacturers through its internal investment team, rather than entrusting external asset management companies. It is currently considering the timing of its entry. The report also quoted relevant government departments and agencies stating that Temasek has communicated with the South Korean government regarding the timing of the investment. If the aforementioned investment is finalized, it would mark Temasek's first direct investment in the South Korean stock market. Reports suggest that Temasek believes storage chips within the artificial intelligence supply chain are still undervalued.
