MICOT PHARMA-B (02335): The preclinical and Phase I clinical data of MT200605 has been accepted for an oral presentation at the 18th World Stroke Congress in 2026.
MicuRx Pharmaceuticals-B (02335) announced that the preclinical and Phase I clinical data for its independently developed injectable neuroprotective candidate drug MT200605 for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke (AIS) has been accepted for an oral presentation at the 18th World Stroke Conference (WSC 2026).
MICOT PHARMA-B (02335) announced that the preclinical and Phase I clinical data for its self-developed injectable neuroprotective candidate drug MT200605 for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke (AIS) has been accepted for an oral presentation at the 18th World Stroke Congress (WSC 2026).
The Phase I clinical study of MT200605 was conducted in both China and the United States, aiming to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of MT200605 in healthy subjects.
MT200605 is an injectable neuroprotectant with a dual synergistic mechanism of action. To the best of the company's knowledge, MT200605 is the only known agonist that can cross the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and acts on the BDNF/TrkB pathway, which has entered the clinical development stage. It possesses both antioxidant stress capabilities and neuroprotective properties that alleviate microcirculation occlusion caused by calcium ion-induced vascular smooth muscle contraction. This allows for comprehensive blockade of the ischemic cascade injury induced by acute ischemic stroke while promoting neural regeneration and remodeling.
While the preclinical and Phase I clinical data for MT200605 has been accepted for an oral presentation at WSC 2026, the Phase II clinical trial of MT200605 for acute ischemic stroke has yielded statistically significant and clinically relevant results, achieving its primary endpoint. Detailed clinical data will be announced at future international academic conferences and published in academic journals. According to the existing Phase II clinical results, MT200605 demonstrates significant, robust efficacy in patients with acute ischemic stroke, along with good safety and tolerability.
