On August 7, the Hong Kong interbank offered rate continued to decline, with the one-month HIBOR related to mortgage rates reported at 2.61327%, down 1.375 basis points; the three-month HIBOR, which reflects the cost of bank funding, was reported at 2.90000%, unchanged. The overnight rate was reported at 2.28982%, down 3.554 basis points; the one-week HIBOR fell by 2.774 basis points to 2.38833%, while the two-week rate decreased by 2.375 basis points to 2.48000%. The two-month HIBOR remained unchanged at 2.80000%. Regarding long-term rates, the six-month HIBOR was unchanged at 3.17679%, and the one-year rate also remained unchanged at 3.50000%.
