In June, the number of private residential completions in Hong Kong was 3,532 units, a month-on-month increase of 2,723 units or 3.37 times. The total completions for the first half of the year amounted to 7,914 units, a year-on-year decrease of 2,149 units or 21.36%, accounting for approximately 46.6% of the annual forecast of 16,975 units.
The latest "Monthly Supplement to the Hong Kong Property Report" from the Hong Kong Lands Department shows that in June, the number of private residential units completed in Hong Kong was 3,532, an increase of 2,723 units or 3.37 times compared to the previous month; the total number of completions for the first half of the year was 7,914 units, a decrease of 2,149 units or 21.36% compared to the same period last year, accounting for about 46.6% of the annual forecast of 16,975 units. By region, the completions in the first half of the year primarily came from the New Territories, which involved 5,054 units, accounting for about 64% of the total completions; Hong Kong Island accounted for 1,808 units, about 23%; while Kowloon only had 1,061 units, accounting for about 13% of the overall total.
