The State Administration for Market Regulation has conducted price compliance guidance in the photovoltaic industry in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province. This is in line with the decision-making and deployment of the Party Central Committee and the State Council to deeply rectify "involutionary" competition, promoting photovoltaic companies to shift from competing on "price" to competing on "quality," and facilitating the high-quality development of the photovoltaic industry.
On July 31, the State Administration for Market Regulation conducted price compliance guidance for the photovoltaic industry in Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province. This initiative aims to implement the decisions and deployments of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on deeply rectifying "involutionary" competition, promoting a shift among photovoltaic companies from competing on "price" to competing on "quality," and facilitating high-quality development in the photovoltaic sector.
The State Administration for Market Regulation emphasized that photovoltaic enterprises must fully recognize the current industry development situation, proactively strengthen cost accounting management, establish and improve price compliance systems, comprehensively conduct self-examination and self-correction, establish a solid concept of compliant operation and rational competition, resist malicious low-price competition, and maintain market price order. Leading enterprises should play a demonstrative and leading role, strictly regulate their own pricing and competitive behaviors, and set a benchmark for the industry. Industry associations need to strengthen self-discipline in accordance with the law, effectively promote the standards of the "Cost Accounting Model General Regulations for the Photovoltaic Industry," and guide photovoltaic companies in preventing and stopping illegal pricing behaviors such as low-price dumping.
The State Administration for Market Regulation will adhere to a dual focus on regulatory norms and promoting development, ensuring effective connections between corporate cost accounting and price regulatory enforcement. They will comprehensively utilize reminders and urging, compliance discussions, administrative guidance, and other methods to guide photovoltaic enterprises in regulating price competition behaviors. For entities that have drawn strong industry feedback, severely disrupted market order, and have not rectified despite reminders and discussions, serious legal action will be taken in accordance with the law.
Colleagues from the State Administration for Market Regulation, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Ministry of Commerce, as well as representatives from market regulation departments in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Xinjiang, and representatives from the China Photovoltaic Industry Association and 27 photovoltaic companies participated in the event.
