The National Energy Administration released the data on the issuance and trading of national renewable energy green power certificates in June 2026.
On July 24, the National Energy Administration released the data on the issuance and trading of national renewable energy green electricity certificates in June 2026. In June, the National Energy Administration issued 373 million green certificates, involving 1.2475 million renewable energy generation projects, of which 206 million were tradable green certificates, accounting for 55.41%, and the number of tradable green certificates was basically the same as the previous month. The green certificates corresponding to renewable energy generation in May 2026 were 270 million, accounting for 72.38%. In June, the number of green certificates issued for conventional hydropower, biomass power generation, and other renewable energy generation types all increased, with the largest increase in green certificates issued for conventional hydropower. In June 2026, there were 82.73 million traded green certificates nationwide, with 42.89 million traded under the CHINA GREEN electricity trading green certificates. In terms of power source type, wind power and CECEP Solar Energy generation green certificate transactions ranked first and second, being the core categories in the market transactions. In June 2026, there were 39.84 million separately traded green certificates nationwide, and market prices showed a clear gradient based on the production year of the electricity. Among them, there were 4.21 million green certificates traded for electricity produced in 2024, with an average price of 1.29 yuan per certificate; 28.16 million green certificates traded for electricity produced in 2025, with an average price of 4.05 yuan per certificate; and 7.48 million green certificates traded for electricity produced in 2026, with an average price of 5.96 yuan per certificate.
