In terms of news, recently, LUK FOOK HOLD announced that the group's overall retail sales value (including self-operated stores, branded stores, and e-commerce business) and retail revenue (including self-operated stores and e-commerce business) in the first quarter increased by 32% and 43% respectively compared to the previous year. The proportion of retail sales value of gold and platinum products increased by 6 percentage points to 82% annually due to the significant growth in investment in gold products. In addition, the group re-entered the Singapore market during the quarter, opened a self-operated store, further expanding its international business footprint, along with a new branded store opened in Vietnam, totaling two new overseas stores in the first quarter.
Zhongtai Securities released a research report stating that in the first quarter of FY27, LUK FOOK HOLD's retail value and same-store sales increased by 32% and 39% respectively compared to the same period last year, accelerating from 19% and 33% in the previous quarter. In particular, China, Hong Kong, Macau, and other markets benefited from strong local demand in Hong Kong, as well as the price advantage and the appreciation of the Chinese yuan driving positive performance in customer flow and sales in mainland China. Retail value and same-store sales increased by 41% and 41% respectively, with same-store sales in Hong Kong/Macau and overseas markets increasing by 44% and 49% and 14% respectively. During the quarter, the group reopened a self-operated store in Singapore and added a new branded store in Vietnam.
