Ministry of Commerce: Will organize and conduct pilot green consumption projects from 2026 to 2028.

On July 20th, the General Office of the Ministry of Commerce issued a notice on launching pilot work on green consumption. In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the spirit of the subsequent plenary sessions, and to implement the deployment requirements of the "Notice of the Ministry of Commerce and 9 Other Departments on Implementing the Promotion of Green Consumption" to accelerate the transformation of development modes and consumption patterns towards green, and to expand green consumption, the Ministry of Commerce will organize pilot work on green consumption from 2026 to 2028. The key contents of the pilot include improving green product supply, cultivating green circulation entities, innovating green consumption scenes, constructing green recycling systems, creating a green consumption atmosphere, and exploring incentives for green consumption.
