In the first half of the year, the business revenue of the postal industry (excluding direct operating revenue from postal savings banks) reached 9256.0 billion yuan, an increase of 6.0% year-on-year.
According to data from the State Post Bureau, in the first half of the year, the total business revenue of the postal industry (excluding the direct operating income of postal savings banks) reached 925.60 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.0%. Among them, the revenue of express delivery services reached 771.41 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.3%. In the first half of the year, the total volume of postal industry delivery services reached 108.89 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 4.2%. Among them, the volume of express delivery services reached 100.38 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 5.0%. In June, the business revenue of the postal industry reached 162.07 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.0%. Among them, the revenue of express delivery services reached 136.04 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.7%. In June, the volume of postal industry delivery services reached 19.00 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 3.7%. Among them, the volume of express delivery services reached 17.51 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 3.8%. In terms of business types, in the first half of the year, the volume of same-city express delivery services reached 7.22 billion pieces, a year-on-year decrease of 8.4%; the volume of intercity express delivery services reached 91.01 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 6.1%; and the volume of international/Hong Kong/Macau/Taiwan express delivery services reached 2.15 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of 6.6%. In the first half of the year, the volume of postal letters reached 410 million pieces, a year-on-year increase of 20.7%; the volume of parcels reached 156.22 million pieces, a year-on-year increase of 13.8%; the volume of newspapers reached 7.79 billion copies, a year-on-year decrease of 5.0%; the volume of magazines reached 290 million copies, a year-on-year decrease of 5.4%; and the volume of remittances reached 663,000 transactions, a year-on-year decrease of 32.7%. In the first half of the year, the volume of same-city, intercity, and international/Hong Kong/Macau/Taiwan express delivery services accounted for 7.2%, 90.7%, and 2.1% of the total express delivery volume, respectively. Compared with the same period last year, the proportion of same-city express delivery services decreased by 1.0 percentage point, while the proportion of intercity express delivery services increased by 1.0 percentage point, and the proportion of international/Hong Kong/Macau/Taiwan services remained relatively stable. In the first half of the year, the revenue distribution of express delivery services in the eastern, central, and western regions was 73.6%, 15.6%, and 10.8%, respectively, while the volume distribution was 68.7%, 20.8%, and 10.5% respectively. Compared with the same period last year, the proportion of revenue from express delivery services in the eastern region decreased by 0.4 percentage points and the proportion of volume decreased by 2.9 percentage points; the proportion of revenue in the central region increased by 0.1 percentage point and the proportion of volume increased by 1.5 percentage points; the proportion of revenue in the western region increased by 0.3 percentage point and the proportion of volume increased by 1.4 percentage points. In the first half of the year, the concentration index CR8 of express delivery service revenue was 87.0, a decrease of 0.1 from January to May; and the concentration index CR8 of express delivery service volume was 96.1, which remained relatively stable from January to May. In the second quarter, the public satisfaction rating of express delivery services was 85.0 points, and the on-time delivery rate of express services in key areas nationwide within 72 hours was 86.74%.
