The Government appoints members to the Elderly Commission.
The Hong Kong government announced today (July 17) the reappointment of Dr. Lee Kwok-tung as the Chairman of the Elderly Commission, and the appointment of Professor Lai Wing-leung and Dr. Wai Sze-shing as members of the commission. At the same time, Professor Law Kar-ho was appointed as the new Vice Chairman of the commission and Ms. Yim Sui-yuk as a new member. Their terms will take effect from July 30, 2026, and will last for two years. The Secretary for Labour and Welfare of Hong Kong, Law Yuk-hon, said, "The Elderly Commission has always provided valuable advice to the government in formulating elderly policies and measures. Dr. Lee and the other appointed members have rich experience and will certainly help the commission in fulfilling its functions. We will continue to work closely with the commission to improve elderly services in Hong Kong."
