Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceuticals (600276.SH): HRS-8829 injection concentrated solution received notification of drug clinical trial approval.

Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceuticals (600276.SH) announced that its subsidiary Beijing Shengdi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. has received the approval notice for the clinical trial of HRS-8829 injection concentrate from the National Medical Products Administration. The clinical trial will be conducted soon. HRS-8829 is a small molecule drug intended for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke. Preclinical studies have shown that HRS-8829 can significantly reduce neurological function scores, decrease brain infarction and brain edema, inhibit the expression of inflammatory factors, improve the reduction of brain neurons, and inhibit apoptosis of brain cells. Phase I clinical trials of single-drug administration are currently underway. It is expected that the combination of HRS-8829 and the small molecule antioxidant edaravone will provide a new treatment option for patients with acute ischemic stroke. As of now, the total research and development investment in HRS-8829 injection concentrate is approximately 16.6 million yuan (unaudited).
