In the first half of the year, the median disposable income per capita for residents nationwide was 19,036 yuan, growing by 4.7%, which is 82.8% of the mean income. Specifically, the median disposable income per capita for urban residents was 26,389 yuan, growing by 4.0% and accounting for 87.6% of the mean income; while the median disposable income per capita for rural residents was 10,649 yuan, growing by 5.9% and accounting for 83.9% of the mean income.
In terms of consumption expenditure, in the first half of the year, the average consumption expenditure per capita for the whole country was 14,836 yuan, a nominal increase of 3.7% compared to the same period last year, and a real increase of 2.7% after adjusting for price factors. When looking at urban and rural areas separately, the average consumption expenditure per capita for urban residents was 18,071 yuan, with a growth of 3.0% (nominal) and a real growth of 2.0% after adjusting for price factors; while the average consumption expenditure per capita for rural residents was 10,180 yuan, growing by 4.6% nominally and 3.8% in real terms after adjusting for price factors.
