On the news front, Stanford University School of Medicine recently reached a partnership research agreement with SIMCERE PHARMA to develop innovative therapies for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) patients. According to the agreement, SIMCERE PHARMA will fund exploratory research on this first-in-class molecule, and if successful, will be granted the rights to introduce and commercialize it with 100% global ownership. The project partners include Dr. Chaitan Khosla and Dr. Cui Bianxiao, who lead a top global chemical biology laboratory at Stanford University School of Medicine and are members of the Stanford Drug Accelerator.
