Decomposing the last mile of landing medical AI: YIDU TECH (02158) 280 intelligent beings have entered the clinic.
"Focusing on the key challenges of realizing the landing of intelligent bodies from capabilities to systems, Medi-Data Technology has introduced a 'two-platform integrated system' architecture, covering the entire process of research and development, application, and evaluation."
Recently, the 8th Beijing Intelligence Source Conference was held in Beijing, and intelligent body technology became one of the key topics of the conference. Dr. Li Linfeng, Vice President of Technology Innovation and AI Architect at YIDU TECH (02158), attended and delivered a speech, systematically explaining the construction of the medical intelligent body's technical system and the clinical application path, pointing out that medical AI is evolving from "model-driven capabilities" to "system-level real application capabilities".
Medical AI enters the second half: Intelligent body becomes the key breakthrough
With the series of policies on "artificial intelligence +" being intensively introduced, the country has explicitly promoted the deep application of AI in fields such as auxiliary diagnosis and treatment, health management, and chronic disease services. At the technical level, intelligent bodies with memory, planning, and tool calling capabilities are becoming the core direction of the next generation of AI evolution.
Li Linfeng pointed out that medical scenarios naturally fit the intelligent body system. Clinical diagnosis and treatment itself are a series of continuous decision-making processes, from pre-diagnosis triage, treatment during diagnosis, to post-treatment management, with clear processes and defined steps that align well with the task breakdown and execution logic of intelligent bodies. Additionally, the medical industry rigidly requires processes to be explainable, controllable, traceable, and results to be stable, making it difficult for traditional large models' "black box" interactions to meet clinical safety and regulatory requirements. Moreover, hospital systems are complex, and medical staff have heavy workloads, requiring AI solutions that can integrate multiple tools and automate high-frequency tasks.
"Two platforms and one system": Building the engineering foundation of medical intelligent bodies
To address the key challenges of intelligent bodies from capabilities to systemic implementation, YIDU TECH has introduced the "two platforms and one system" architecture, covering the entire process of research, application, and assessment.
Intelligent body development platform: Modular packaging of large model capabilities, medical knowledge bases, and tool components to support rapid construction of specialty scenario intelligent bodies. Currently, YIDU TECH has collaborated with several top tertiary hospitals, working with clinical experts to develop over 280 intelligent bodies covering core scenarios such as auxiliary diagnosis, treatment plan recommendation, and medical record generation.
Intelligent body application platform: By deep integration with core systems such as HIS and EMR, intelligent bodies are embedded into doctor workstations to enable automatic access to patient data and dynamic scheduling of intelligent bodies, seamlessly integrating AI into clinical workflows.
Intelligent body evaluation system: Establishing evaluation mechanisms based on multiple dimensions such as credibility, safety, efficiency improvement, process integration, and physician acceptance, to continuously validate usability and stability in real environments.
In terms of technical approaches, Li Linfeng emphasizes that the best practice is the "workflow-driven specialty scenario intelligent bodies + multi-intelligent bodies collaboration" architecture. This model breaks down complex medical tasks into structured processes, ensuring that each step's outputs are explainable, controllable, and traceable, while integrating guidelines, knowledge graphs, and specialty models to significantly enhance stability and consistency in clinical scenarios.
From the intelligent body matrix to clinical closed-loop: Implementation of Dr. Copilot and Yidu Intelligent Circulation
How can intelligent bodies truly serve doctors in their daily work? YIDU TECH has launched the clinical assistant Dr. Copilot. This system is embedded as a lightweight plugin in doctor workstations, enabling one-click activation of intelligent bodies to automatically access patient structured and unstructured data for reasoning and task execution.
As the number of specialty and specialty intelligent bodies increases, the platform establishes a unified interactive portal. Doctors can input their demands via natural language, and the system automatically recognizes intentions and matches suitable intelligent bodies. Additionally, YIDU TECH has introduced a "task planning engine" to transform standardized diagnosis and treatment paths into executable intelligent task sequences. For example, for inpatient examination, treatment, and follow-up plans, the system can plan and run them in advance in the background, with doctors just needing to confirm or adjust, significantly reducing repetitive workload.
To expand to outpatient settings, YIDU TECH has also launched the mobile evidence-based decision-making tool "Yidu Intelligent Circulation," providing real-time decision-making assistance based on a credible medical evidence system. The knowledge base gathers over 20 million Chinese and English medical literature, over 50,000 clinical guidelines and expert consensus, over 60,000 medical popular science knowledge, and integrates the specialty knowledge base of People's Health Publishing House, providing "evidence-based answers and grounds for every sentence", ensuring that every conclusion is traceable to its original source, becoming a doctor's "second brain" and a multidisciplinary intelligent body consultant team.
Li Linfeng stated, "What truly brings value in medical scenarios is not a single model, but an intelligent body system that can be embedded in real processes, reliably execute tasks, and continuously evolve."
Currently, through a traceable and credible medical intelligent body system, YIDU TECH is upgrading AI from an auxiliary tool to a clinical infrastructure, pushing it into the core of medical decision-making chains and workflow, enabling medical AI to transition from "capability showcase" to "system-level productivity", accelerating the scaling and popularization of precision medical capabilities.
