The Real Estate Developers Association of Hong Kong: The number of newly completed private residences in April rose to 2009 units, reaching a half-year high.

According to the research center of the United States Property, based on data from the Hong Kong Housing Department, the number of private residential units completed in Hong Kong in April was 2,009, nearly four times higher than the 404 units completed in March, and reaching a new high in six months. This is mainly due to the completion of large projects such as Tai Po Shan Yan (1,650 units), as well as other projects including Kennedy Town Sea Crest (125 units), Tai Kok Tsui The Latitude (122 units), Sai Ying Pun Half Mountain Ming Fai (111 units), and Yuen Long Sand Well Road (1 unit). Analyst Chan Sung Him of the United States Property pointed out that with the significant increase in completion in April, the total number of units completed in the first four months of this year has reached 3,573, accounting for about 21% of the Hong Kong Property Valuation Department's forecast of 16,975 units for the whole year. With several new projects expected to be completed throughout the year, the completion volume is expected to gradually increase, narrowing the gap with the annual forecast target. Chan Sung Him further stated that although the number of completed private residential units in April has significantly increased, resulting in over 3,500 units in the first four months, it is still nearly half of the 7,096 units completed in the same period last year. Furthermore, many units completed in the first four months of this year have already been absorbed by the market. According to the research center of the United States Property, based on information from the Hong Kong first-hand residential property sales website and market data, as of June 21, out of the 3,573 units completed in the first four months of this year, approximately 2,702 units have been sold, with a sales rate of about 75.6%, leaving 871 units still for sale.
