Passenger capacity decreased by 6.4% year-on-year, while passenger traffic decreased by 2.7%. Specifically, domestic passenger capacity decreased by 9.4% year-on-year, and passenger traffic decreased by 7.5%; international passenger capacity increased by 1.2% year-on-year, and passenger traffic increased by 9.8%; regional passenger capacity decreased by 13.6% year-on-year, and passenger traffic decreased by 4.2%. The average passenger load factor was 84.5%, an increase of 3.2 percentage points year-on-year. Domestic routes saw an increase of 1.8 percentage points, international routes saw an increase of 6.4 percentage points, and regional routes saw an increase of 7.8 percentage points.
In terms of cargo transportation, cargo capacity (measured in available cargo ton kilometers) decreased by 5.4% year-on-year, while cargo and mail traffic (measured in revenue freight ton kilometers) increased by 1.6%. The cargo load factor was 44.6%, an increase of 3.1 percentage points year-on-year.
Starting from May 1, 2026, the company resumed flights on the Beijing Capital-Dandong route (seven flights per week) and launched a new route from Chongqing to Manila (four flights per week). On May 26, the company launched a new route from Wuhan to Nyingchi (two flights per week).
In May 2026, the Group introduced 6 A320 series aircraft and 1 B737 series aircraft, while retiring 1 A320 series aircraft. By the end of May 2026, the Group operated a total of 971 aircraft, including 426 owned aircraft, 260 leased through financing, and 285 leased through operating leases.
