Iran says it will implement comprehensive management of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
The central headquarters of the Iranian armed forces, Hatam Anbia, stated that, considering the unified nature of the management of the Strait of Hormuz, all ships must comply with the passage regulations set by the Iranian side, and any violation of the relevant regulations could have a serious impact on their navigation safety.

According to the Mehr News Agency of Iran, on May 30th, the central headquarters of the Iranian armed forces, Hatam Anbia, stated that Iran has implemented comprehensive management of shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. All commercial vessels, oil tankers, and other civilian ships must follow specified routes and obtain permission from the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy in advance.
The central headquarters of the Iranian armed forces, Hatam Anbia, stated that due to the unified management of the Strait of Hormuz shipping lanes, all vessels must comply with the passage regulations set by Iran. Any actions that violate these regulations could have serious consequences on their safety.
The headquarters also warned that any foreign warships attempting to intervene in the management of the Strait of Hormuz or disrupt maritime traffic order will be met with corresponding actions by the Iranian armed forces.
Earlier on the same day, according to the Iranian Student News Agency, Salimi, a member of the Presiding Board of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, stated that a proposal regarding the "exercise of sovereign jurisdiction" over the Strait of Hormuz is expected to be approved soon and may become a long-term law.
