On May 19th, the Hong Kong Interbank Offered Rate (HIBOR) generally decreased, with the one-month HIBOR related to the property market falling for the fourth consecutive day by 2.6%, dropping 2.619 basis points. The three-month HIBOR, reflecting the cost of bank funds, was reported at 2.84857%, falling by 3.601 basis points.
The overnight HIBOR was reported at 2.1706%, dropping by 25.404 basis points. The one-week HIBOR fell by 12.292 basis points, reporting at 2.37708%, while the two-week HIBOR decreased by 6.048 basis points, reporting at 2.53952%. In terms of longer-term rates, the six-month HIBOR fell by 1.565 basis points, reporting at 2.98435%, while the one-year rate increased by 0.286 basis points, reporting at 3.18649%.
