On May 19, the National Medical Insurance Administration Office and the Office of the Ministry of Finance issued a notice on further strengthening the supervision and management of the use of personal accounts for basic medical insurance for employees of designated retail pharmacies. It mentioned that through comprehensive methods such as flight inspections, special inspections, and daily inspections, combined with technologies such as video monitoring and medical insurance big data analysis, the focus is on key violations to enhance supervision over the use of personal accounts for medical insurance by employees of designated retail pharmacies. It specifically targets activities such as paying for products outside of the whitelist, fraudulent activities such as empty swiping, resale swapping, prescription forgery, or improper use of medical insurance funds through false advertising, consumer inducement, and excessive consumption. It emphasizes the need to establish effective reporting and complaint channels, implement reporting reward mechanisms, and fully utilize social supervision. Issues involving responsibilities of other departments identified during supervision should be promptly referred to the relevant authorities.
