On May 9, according to statistics from the China CSSC Industrial Industry Association, in the first three months of 2026, China's shipbuilding completion volume reached 15.68 million deadweight tons, an increase of 46.0% year-on-year, accounting for 57.3% of the world total; the new order volume reached 59.53 million deadweight tons, an increase of 195.2% year-on-year, accounting for 84.9% of the world total; by the end of March, the backlog of orders reached 322.30 million deadweight tons, a year-on-year increase of 43.6%, accounting for 69.8% of the world total. China's shipbuilding three major indicators have shown comprehensive growth, maintaining a leading position in the global market share.
