Oracle Corporation (ORCL.US) and BorderPlex Digital Assets jointly announced that they will adopt Bloom Energy's fuel cells to provide full power protection for the Project Jupiter AI data center campus, which is planned to cost billions of dollars (located in New Mexico, USA). Boosted by this news, Bloom Energy's stock rose nearly 4% after hours. This collaboration is an important implementation of the deepening strategic cooperation between the two parties announced earlier. Both companies stated that "Project Jupiter" will install a total capacity of up to 2.45 gigawatts of Bloom Energy fuel cells, replacing the originally planned gas turbines and diesel generators, and integrating the entire data center into a single microgrid campus. The two companies noted that with the use of Bloom Energy microgrid, the project will significantly reduce emissions and decrease water usage. Compared to the original plan with gas turbines, "Project Jupiter" will see a 92% reduction in nitrogen oxide emissions and almost negligible water usage with the new fuel cell microgrid. Oracle Corporation stated that they will continue to cover all energy costs for "Project Jupiter," ensuring that the project will not impact local residents' electricity prices or grid stability.
