Tencent (00700) released and open-sourced the MixedReality 3D World Model 2.0.

On April 16th, Tencent (00700) officially released and open-sourced the HY-World 2.0, a mixed reality 3D world model. HY-World 2.0 is a multimodal world model that can automatically generate, reconstruct, and simulate a 3D world based on different types of inputs such as text, images, and videos. It also supports exporting multiple formats of 3D assets (Mesh/3DGS/point cloud, etc.), seamless integration with existing game workflows, and quick generation of game maps and level prototypes. The HY-World 2.0 model allows AI to evolve from "conversation," "drawing," and "object modeling" to "world creation" - generating complete "worlds" including people, objects, and scenery. Previously mainstream world models, such as Google Genie 3 and HY-World 1.5, could only generate video files. The practicality of the newly released World Model 2.0 has taken a step further - it can directly generate editable 3D asset files. These generated 3D assets can be imported directly into game production or physical simulation engines, achieving true playability and usability. Currently, World Model 2.0 is available on the Tencent HY-World 3D Creative Engine official website, where users can apply for use.
