From January to February 2026, the total national electricity market transaction volume reached 11925 billion kilowatt hours, an increase of 25.5% year-on-year.
On March 27, data from the National Energy Administration showed that from January to February 2026, the total electricity market trading volume in the country reached 1192.5 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 25.5% year-on-year. In terms of trading scope, the intra-provincial trading volume was 954.3 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 29.2%; while the inter-provincial and inter-regional trading volume was 238.2 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 12.7%. In terms of trading types, the medium and long-term trading volume was 1033.7 billion kilowatt-hours; the spot trading volume was 158.8 billion kilowatt hours. The green electricity trading volume was 48.4 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 7.6%.
