On March 23, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued a notice on carrying out the identification and review work of specialized, special, and new "little giant" enterprises in 2026. The notice pointed out that provincial-level specialized, special, and new small and medium-sized enterprises can apply for the eighth batch of specialized, special, and new "little giant" enterprise, the fifth batch identified in 2023, and the second batch that passed the review of specialized, special, and new "little giant" enterprises can apply for review. , No fees will be charged for related applications. In order to reduce the burden of enterprise applications, companies do not need to provide evidence materials issued by third-party organizations to prove market share in specific segments or domestic invention patent certificates (for I-class intellectual property rights such as integrated circuit design layout, etc., proof still needs to be provided). Companies only need to truthfully state market share and fill in the number of invention patents. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will increase data sharing efforts with departments such as the National Intellectual Property Administration, and patent data will be based on the data provided by the National Intellectual Property Administration.
