Among them, there were 7.8938 million visitors from Mainland China, which represents a 22% increase, mainly due to the Chinese New Year holiday and various events in Hong Kong.
During this period, the number of visitors from non-Mainland markets was 2.0596 million, an 8% increase compared to the previous year. Among them, long-haul markets such as Australia, France, and Germany saw an increase of 20% to 30% in visitor numbers. As for short-haul markets, there were fluctuations in overall performance due to changes in the dates of the Chinese New Year and the Muslim fasting month.
In the month of February alone, there were 5.1417 million visitors to Hong Kong, a 40% increase compared to the previous year. Of these, 4.2482 million were visitors from Mainland China, representing a 53% increase.
