At the 2026 NVIDIA Corporation GTC Annual Technology Conference, CEO Huang Renxun announced a deep strategic alliance reached with automobile manufacturers and Uber Technologies, Inc. (UBER.US) on autonomous driving systems. The two parties plan to jointly build the world's largest autonomous driving travel network. According to the detailed roadmap disclosed, the plan will first commence commercial operations in the first half of 2027 in Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area in the United States. With the maturity of the technological architecture, the network is expected to rapidly expand to 28 core cities on four continents globally by 2028, with the ultimate goal of deploying over 100,000 vehicles equipped with NVIDIA Corporation's cutting-edge AI technology on the Uber Technologies, Inc. platform.
"The era of autonomous driving revolution has arrived - this is the first breakthrough in the trillion-dollar Siasun Robot&Automation industry," emphasized Huang Renxun, Founder and CEO of NVIDIA Corporation, "All moving objects will eventually become autonomous. Through NVIDIA Corporation's Hyperion platform and Alpamayo open inference model, we endow vehicles with three core capabilities: accurate perception of the surrounding environment, intelligent reasoning in complex scenarios, and safe execution of driving decisions - laying the technological foundation for scalable L4 autonomous driving."
In order to support this massive capacity network, NVIDIA Corporation has deeply integrated the global automotive industry chain through its latest DRIVE Hyperion 10 platform. Several mainstream companies including BYD Company Limited, Geely, Nissan (NSANY.US), Hyundai, Kia, and Isuzu have officially confirmed adopting this architecture to develop the next generation of L4 vehicles. Among them, BYD Company Limited, Geely, and Nissan are developing autonomous driving projects based on the DRIVE Hyperion computing and sensor architecture; Isuzu is collaborating with TIER IV to use the DRIVE AGX Thor system-on-a-chip to build L4 autonomous driving buses.
In terms of cooperative expansion, NVIDIA Corporation's cooperation relationship with Hyundai and Kia has further deepened. Kim Hyeong-su, Executive Vice President of Hyundai Motor, stated, "Expanding cooperation with NVIDIA Corporation is a key step for the Hyundai Motor Group to achieve its vision of safe and reliable autonomous driving. Through a group-level unified cooperation framework, we will strengthen the full-chain technological competitiveness from L2+ level autonomous driving to L4 autonomous taxi services, building a differentiated intelligent travel ecosystem."
In addition to the field of autonomous driving, NVIDIA Corporation is continuously deepening its cooperation ecosystem with global Siasun Robot&Automation manufacturers to enhance technological breakthroughs in physical artificial intelligence. The cooperation list includes more than ten industry-leading companies such as ABB Robotics, AGIBOT, Agility, CMR Surgical, FANUC, Figure, Hexagon Robotics, KUKA, Medtronic, Skild AI, Universal Robots, World Labs, and YASKAWA.
To accelerate the arrival of the intelligent Siasun Robot&Automation era, NVIDIA Corporation has officially released the new generation Cosmos world model, which integrates the Isaac simulation framework and Isaac GR00T N technology module to accelerate the transition to intelligent Siasun Robot&Automation.
At the industrial application level, companies such as AGIBOT, Humanoid, LG Electronics, NEURA Robotics, and Noble Machines have taken the lead in adopting the NVIDIA Isaac GR00T N model, promoting the scale production of humanoid Siasun Robot&Automation from the laboratory to accelerate its commercialization process.
