Apple Inc. (AAPL.US) announced a reduction in the commission rate for the App Store in China.
According to communication with Chinese regulatory authorities, Apple will lower the commission rate for mobile and tablet operating systems in the App Store in China.
BEIJING, March 13 (Xinhua) - According to the developer official website of Apple Inc., the company (AAPL.US) will reduce the commission rate for mobile and tablet operating systems in the App Store in China after communication with Chinese regulatory authorities.
The standard commission rate for in-app purchases and paid apps in the Apple Inc. App will be reduced from the current 30% to 25%. For small developers under the App Store Small Business Program and Mini Apps Partner Program, the commission rate for in-app purchases and automatic renewal subscription after the first year will be reduced from 15% to 12%.
The commission rate adjustment will come into effect from March 15, 2026, and developers do not need to re-sign the terms.
Apple Inc. stated that they are committed to maintaining fair and transparent terms for all developers, and will continue to provide competitive App Store rates that are not higher than the overall market rates for developers distributing apps in China.
