GDC (08271) announces profit, expecting an annual profit of 14 million Hong Kong dollars, turning from a loss to a profit compared to the same period last year.

Announcement: GDC (08271) announces that for the financial year 2025, the Group is expected to achieve a profit of not more than HK$14 million compared to a loss of HK$63.8 million for the same period in 2024. The turnaround from loss to profit is mainly due to: 1) a decrease in net loss from continuing operations of approximately HK$41.4 million; and 2) a one-time net gain of approximately HK$33 million from the termination of operations of Guangdong GDC Industry Co., Ltd., which has been discontinued by the Group. The bankruptcy liquidation application of Guangdong Global Digital has been accepted by the court and a bankruptcy administrator has been formally appointed. Therefore, the Company is no longer considered to have control over Guangdong Global Digital, and its financial performance is no longer consolidated into the Group's financial results. On September 28, 2025, the Guangzhou Intermediate People's Court in Guangdong Province issued the bankruptcy of Guangdong Global Digital.
