On March 4th, according to the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, in January 2026, the domestic market saw a shipment of 22.866 million mobile phones, a year-on-year decrease of 16.1%. Among them, 19.87 million were 5G phones, a year-on-year decrease of 15.9%, accounting for 86.9% of the total shipments during the same period. In January 2026, there were 37 new mobile phone models launched in the domestic market, a year-on-year increase of 2.8%. Among them, 20 were 5G phones, a year-on-year decrease of 4.8%, accounting for 54.1% of the total new models launched during the same period.
