Annual income doubled in March, surpassing 2 billion US dollars! AI programming rising star Cursor's valuation approaches 30 billion US dollars.
In a round of financing in November last year, Cursor reached a valuation of $29.3 billion, making it one of the most valuable artificial intelligence startups in the United States.
According to sources familiar with the matter, the artificial intelligence code assistant Cursor's annualized revenue in February has surpassed $2 billion, highlighting the widespread popularity of the product.
The sources stated that the company's revenue run rate (the 12-month projected revenue based on current sales) has doubled compared to three months ago.
It is said that about 60% of the revenue comes from enterprise customers - both new companies using Cursor for the first time and existing customers expanding their seat counts.
Cursor, founded less than five years ago, has become one of the fastest-growing startups in history. Its product is now integrated into the daily work of software programmers, with its customer base ranging from tech companies like OpenAI to organizations not typically associated with software like the Budweiser beer brand under AB InBev.
In November last year, the startup reached a valuation of $29.3 billion in a round of financing led by venture capital firms Accel and Coatue, making it one of the highest valued AI startups in the US.
Cursor is one of many companies aiming to dominate the fast-growing AI programming assistant market, alongside smaller programming companies like Replit, Swedish company Lovable, and Cognition. OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google are also competing for a leading position in the market. AI programming assistants are increasingly taking on more complex and lengthy automation tasks.
For example, Cursor announced last week that a software update enabled it to execute code, conduct tests, and record a video of the development progress for users to watch.
The software has also sparked a new programming style called "Vibe Coding," where developers can use relatively simple prompts to create complex software, allowing AI to do most of the work.
