Earlier this month, Raj Jegannathan, a senior executive who had been with Tesla, Inc. for 13 years, officially announced his resignation on Monday. As Vice President of Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure, Business Applications, and Information Security at the company, Jegannathan reflected, "The journey at Tesla, Inc. has been a continuous evolution."
According to the latest financial report, Tesla, Inc.'s revenue decreased by 3% year-on-year in 2025, marking the company's first annual decline on record. Against this backdrop, the company is facing dual pressures: revitalizing electric vehicle sales to reverse the downturn, and delivering on its long-term promises of autonomous driving systems and vehicles capable of carrying passengers without human intervention.
Tesla, Inc.'s stock price has fallen by over 8% since the beginning of the year. Investors' focus on Tesla, Inc.'s artificial intelligence, autonomous driving, and other companies associated with Elon Musk has further shifted the market narrative logic, no longer just tracking the growth in vehicle deliveries. It is worth noting that, according to registration data from various states, Tesla, Inc.'s electric vehicle sales in the US saw another decline in January this year.
