Forbes Releases the Top 50 Richest People in Hong Kong in 2026: Li Ka-shing Retains the Title of Richest Person

Forbes has released the list of the top 50 richest people in Hong Kong in 2026.
The Forbes 2026 Hong Kong Top 50 Billionaires list shows that the total net worth of the listed billionaires has increased by 22%, from $301 billion in 2025 to $366 billion in 2026. Among them, CKH HOLDINGS founder Li Ka-shing ranks as the richest person in Hong Kong with a fortune of $45.1 billion (approximately HK$351.78 billion). The founder of Henderson Land (00012) who passed away in 2025, Lee Shau Kee, his sons Lee Ka Kit and Lee Ka Shing, and their family rank second with a fortune of $34.9 billion (approximately HK$272.22 billion). NEW WORLD DEV (00017) chairman Cheng Ka Shun's family follows in third place with a fortune of $26.1 billion (approximately HK$203.58 billion). Lee Man-tat, the "Oyster Sauce King" who passed away in 2021 and was the chairman of Lee Kum Kee Group, his five children rank fourth with a fortune of $17.6 billion (approximately HK$137.28 billion). New World (00016) chairman Fok Lao Tai Kwok Siu-hing ranks fifth with a fortune of $17.5 billion (approximately HK$136.5 billion), moving up one spot from last year. Rounding out the sixth to tenth spots are: former chairman of Hutchison Whampoa (00004) Wu Guangzheng with a fortune of $14.9 billion; Chinese Estates Holdings (00127) founder Joseph Lau with a fortune of $14.3 billion; Alibaba (09988) chairman Joseph Tsai with a fortune of $14.2 billion; the family of the late founder of Galaxy Entertainment (00027) Lui Che-woo, with a fortune of $12.7 billion; and EQT Group Asia Chairman Chuang Jiacheng with a fortune of $9.5 billion. Forbes stated that a series of IPOs and a slow recovery in the real estate market have made Hong Kong one of the best-performing stock markets in Asia last year, with the Hang Seng Index rising nearly 30% since the last wealth survey.
