The data shows that in 2025, China's service trade has steadily grown, with the total volume of service imports and exports reaching 8082.31 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.4%. Among them, exports were 3626.79 billion yuan, a growth of 14.2%; imports were 4455.51 billion yuan, an increase of 2.5%; the service trade deficit was 828.72 billion yuan, a decrease of 343.95 billion yuan compared to the previous year. The main characteristics are as follows: Knowledge-intensive service trade continues to grow. In 2025, the volume of knowledge-intensive service imports and exports reached 3087.95 billion yuan, an increase of 6.6%. Among them, the imports and exports of other commercial services, telecommunications, computer and information services were 1333.29 billion yuan and 1103.81 billion yuan, with growth rates of 5.5% and 10.4% respectively. The export of knowledge-intensive services was 1832.12 billion yuan, a growth of 10.5%; the import of knowledge-intensive services was 1255.83 billion yuan, an increase of 1.3%; the surplus was 576.29 billion yuan, an increase of 158.17 billion yuan compared to the previous year. The export of travel services has grown rapidly. In 2025, travel services grew rapidly, with imports and exports reaching 220.67 billion yuan, an increase of 7.6%.
