In the fourth quarter of 2025, the capacity utilization rate of China's industrial enterprises with annual revenue of over 20 million yuan was 74.9%, an increase of 0.3 percentage points from the third quarter and a decrease of 1.3 percentage points from the same period last year.
Data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on January 19th showed that in the fourth quarter of 2025, the national capacity utilization rate of large-scale industries was 74.9%, an increase of 0.3 percentage points from the third quarter, and a decrease of 1.3 percentage points from the same period last year. The national capacity utilization rate of large-scale industries in 2025 was 74.4%. Looking at the three major categories, in the fourth quarter of 2025, the capacity utilization rate of the mining industry was 71.7%; the manufacturing industry was 75.2%; and the electricity, heat, gas, and water production and supply industry was 74.0%. Breaking it down by major industries, in the fourth quarter of 2025, the capacity utilization rate of coal mining and washing was 69.1%, food manufacturing was 68.5%, textile industry was 77.1%, chemical raw materials and chemical product manufacturing was 74.1%, non-metallic mineral products industry was 61.1%, black metal smelting and rolling processing industry was 78.5%, non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry was 75.8%, general equipment manufacturing was 78.7%, special equipment manufacturing was 76.4%, automotive manufacturing was 76.0%, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing was 75.0%, and computer, communication, and other electronic equipment manufacturing was 79.7%.
