According to the disclosure by the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on December 5th, Santongte Medical (Qingdao) Nutrition Health Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as Santongte Medical) has submitted an application for listing on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, with CITIC SEC as the exclusive sponsor. The company had previously submitted a listing application to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on June 2nd of this year. The prospectus shows that Santongte Medical is one of the leading special medical food providers in China, focusing on the development, production, and sales of special medical food products. By retail sales in 2024, Santongte Medical ranks first among domestic special medical food brands in China, holding a market share of 6.3% in the special medical food market, as well as ranking first among domestic special medical food brands in the Chinese infant special medical food market, with a market share of 9.5%. The Chinese special medical food market and infant special medical food market are highly concentrated, with the top five companies collectively holding 78.0% and 92.9% of the market share respectively in 2024. In 2005, when there were no independent brands in the Chinese special medical food market, Santongte Medical established one of the first special medical food departments in China. In 2007, Santongte Medical became the first Chinese special medical food brand to commercialize special medical food products. In 2011, the company became the first enterprise in China to be approved to produce special medical food products. In January 2025, Santongte Medical's Te'ai Propionate and Te'ai Propionate products received registration certificates.
