The Hong Kong Monetary Authority announced on December 5th that Hong Kong's official foreign exchange reserves as of the end of November 2025 were $429.4 billion (compared to $426.1 billion at the end of October 2025). There were no outstanding foreign exchange contracts at the end of November and October 2025. The total amount of foreign exchange reserves of $429.4 billion is equivalent to more than five times the circulating currency in Hong Kong, or about 38% of the Hong Kong dollar money supply M3.
