The total value of buy-sell contracts for Hong Kong buildings in November was 584 billion Hong Kong dollars, a decrease of 8.9% year-on-year.
The Hong Kong Land Registry released the statistics for November 2025 today (December 2nd). Based on a 12-month moving average, the number of building sale and purchase agreements in November was 6434 (a decrease of 0.7% compared to October, and an increase of 16.6% compared to November of the previous year); the total value of building sale and purchase agreements in November was HK$584 billion (an increase of 0.9% compared to October, and a decrease of 8.9% compared to November of the previous year); of the above sale and purchase agreements, residential building sale and purchase agreements accounted for 5588 (a decrease of 2.2% compared to October, and a decrease of 11.3% compared to November of the previous year). The total value of residential building sale and purchase agreements in November was HK$517 billion (an increase of 1.2% compared to October, and a decrease of 9.8% compared to November of the previous year); a total of 7121 sale and purchase agreements for various types of buildings were submitted to the Hong Kong Land Registry for registration in November (a decrease of 1.0% compared to October, and a decrease of 7.4% compared to November of the previous year). The number of times citizens accessed the land register in November was 385,763 (a decrease of 1.7% compared to October, and an increase of 0.9% compared to November of the previous year). The statistics for residential building sale and purchase agreements do not include transactions under various housing schemes such as Home Ownership Scheme, Private Sector Participation Scheme, Tenants Purchase Scheme, unless the units have completed the resale restriction period and price differential has been compensated. The statistics for land register access include the number of times citizens accessed the service counters, self-service kiosks, and the Comprehensive Registration Information System online service.
