The "Billion Kilowatts, Towards the Light - 2025 China Photovoltaic Construction Progress Report" was released at the meeting, showing that as of July 2025, China's cumulative photovoltaic installed capacity has exceeded 1.1 billion kilowatts, a 50.8% increase from the same period last year, marking a new stage in China's renewable energy construction. The report shows that the Chinese photovoltaic industry has achieved astonishing growth over the past decade, becoming the core drive of global energy transformation. Data shows that from 2013 to 2024, China's photovoltaic power generation installed capacity has increased from 15.89 million kilowatts to 880 million kilowatts, a 56-fold increase with an average annual growth rate of 44%. The proportion of photovoltaic power generation installed capacity in the total national power generation installed capacity has increased from 1.41% to 26.48%.
