In September 2025, banks sold RMB 188.09 billion in foreign exchange and bought RMB 151.83 billion. From January to September 2025, banks accumulated RMB 1327.47 billion in foreign exchange purchases and RMB 1282.61 billion in sales.
According to the statistics from the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, in September 2025, banks purchased 1.8809 trillion RMB and sold 1.5183 trillion RMB in foreign exchange. From January to September 2025, banks accumulated 13.2747 trillion RMB in purchases and 12.8261 trillion RMB in sales.
In terms of US dollars, in September 2025, banks purchased 264.7 billion USD and sold 213.6 billion USD. From January to September 2025, banks accumulated 185.33 billion USD in purchases and 179.01 billion USD in sales.
In September 2025, banks facilitated foreign exchange income of 4.8409 trillion RMB for clients and payments of 4.8629 trillion RMB. From January to September 2025, banks facilitated a total of 42.0628 trillion RMB in foreign exchange income for clients and 41.2029 trillion RMB in payments.
In terms of US dollars, in September 2025, banks facilitated foreign exchange income of 681.2 billion USD and payments of 684.3 billion USD for clients. From January to September 2025, banks facilitated a total of 587.05 billion USD in foreign exchange income for clients and 575.08 billion USD in payments.
